Hi, my name is Tom Faust. I am a U.S. Army veteran, a husband, father and grandfather. After separation from the Army I went to work at a Radio Shack store where I first saw the TRS-80 computer. I played with the store demo machine and taught myself BASIC programming. This prompted me to go to college to learn about programming computers.

Now I have been a software developer for over 45 years. When ChatGPT arrived not that long ago, I started learning how to use AI. It is capable of many things, from answering simple questions to writing code and even writing research papers. This last part has caused a stir in the academic community raising the concern that students would cheat and have AI write their research instead of doing it themselves. Although this is possible, there are more useful (not cheating) things you can do with AI such as how it can help you with practical things like setting, tracking and achieving goals!
